KORINNA SEHRINGER

Director/Producer

Korinna Sehringer, born and raised in Switzerland, has worked on numerous film and advertising productions in eighteen countries, primarily in Europe, North America and Asia. Korinna’s production experience includes commercials, reality television (dir./reporter on Survivor for Switzerland), short and feature films, and documentaries, mostly as production manager, line producer and 1st assistant director. In 2010/11 Korinna produced, cast and directed her first feature film “Shouting Secrets”, starring Chaske Spencer (Twilight), Tyler Christopher (GH), Q’orianka Kilcher (The New World), Rodney A. Grant (Dances with Wolves), Gil Birmingham (Twilight) and Tantoo Cardinal (Dances with Wolves). The movie made it into the official selection of over 35 International Film Festivals and won more than 22 Awards for Best Film. The movie is represented by Circus Road Films, L.A. In 2001 she produced and directed the TV documentary “One Nation: Voices of America” on the subject of 9/11, shot in over 30 US States, which was distributed by Solid Entertainment, Santa Monica, CA. Before making her feature film debut, she produced, wrote and directed five short films, which have been screened at numerous film festivals around the world. (i.e. “The Cookie Thief”, “The Foreigner”). Her short films have won thirteen awards including best film, best directing and audience choice, and were sold worldwide to theaters, television, airlines and the Internet, distributed by Atomfilms/Shockwave. Korinna is Founder/Partner and CEO of Joker Film Productions GmbH in Zurich and Los Angeles. Joker Film is currently working on the romantic comedy “The Only People on Earth”, which they optioned from writer Julie Friedgen. Korinna studied Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland and was accepted into the highly competitive Masters Directing Program at the American Film Institute (AFI) in Los Angeles. She graduated from AFI in the summer of 2001 and continues to live in Los Angeles. From 2009 to 2011 she completed the Executive School of Management for Entrepreneurs at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, receiving a full Henri B. Meier Scholarship. Korinna speaks German, English, Italian and French. JOSEF UELI BOLLAG

Producer

Josef has been working in the financial industry in Switzerland for over 25 years. After working for Credit Suisse for 10 years, he built his own​ management company which he later merged into Tareno AG. Now the CEO of Tareno AG, he is one of seven partners at the independent Management Company in Basel (www.tareno.com) with the focus on Private Banking and he is also experienced in Private Equity Investments.



During all those years in the financial industry he committed himself either as a sponsor or initiator of different cultural projects in music (www.kolsimcha.net), musical and script development. He founded the Klezmer-Band Kol Simcha in 87, first as one of the musicians, later as manager and fundraiser. For 21 years and still continuing, Kol Simcha has played in concert halls all over the world including the Carnegie Hall in N.Y. and has produced many CDs.

Having started his own film project some years ago, he decided to combine his financial skills and his film interest with the professional experience and talent of Korinna Sehringer. Together they founded Joker Film Productions in order to leverage all their efforts in building a successful film company.​​
